We want to make things easier for you when you come to Cork. We have put together a list of things that might make your stay that bit more enjoyable. Whether you want to explore the City or Cork County itself we are sure something on this list will stand out to you!

 

1. Cork City Walks

Starting from Daunts Square there is four different routes you can take to explore the heritage of Cork City. From the Shandon Bells and Tower to Camden Fort, you can even stop off and explore University College Cork. These walks take you through the city, with a colour guided walk way and many information desks along the way.

 

2. Blarney Castle and Gardens

Situated just outside the city Blarney Castle and Gardens is something the whole family will love, with plenty space for the kids to run free and get in some fresh air. You will also learn about all the history that Blarney Castle and Gardens hold. You might even get a chance to kiss the Blarney Stone!

 

3. Fota Wildlife Park

Also situated outside the city, Fota Wildlife is a trip you can't pass by! You could spend hours wandering around the park checking out all the different animals that are on show, learning about them and taking photos from afar. This is a day the whole family will love and it will be packed with fun!

 

4. Fitzgerald Park and Museum

Located in the city Fitzgeralds Park is somewhere you could take the kids to wind down. A nice park to walk around looking out onto the river and a playground for the kids to play in.

 

5. Visit the English Market

In the heart of the city the English Market is a treat for all. You get to experience and explore all the fresh produce from local suppliers. You could pick up some treats to take home that you might found down one of the many isles.
