Guinness Cork Jazz Festival
A visit to Cork during the Guinness Cork Jazz Festival is a must for all music lovers. This October Bank Holiday weekend, soak up the electric atmosphere of the Jazz Festival while experiencing the vintage charm of Fitzgeralds Vienna Woods Hotel.
The Cork Jazz festival has become one of Irelands Premier and most successful internationally renowned musical events since it was first held in 1978. Each year thousands of visitors come to Cork to enjoy the city & it’s festival. This year's Cork Jazz Festival promises to be as entertaining as ever. Held across the October bank holiday weekend, Cork city becomes electrified with soulful and infectious melodies floating out of pubs and venues across the entire city & county of Cork from the 25th-29th of October
Cork Film Festival
The 63rd Cork Film Festival is being held this year. As well as playing a rich selection of the best of contemporary world cinema, latest and best international and Irish features, documentaries and shorts, it uses films to explore some of the burning issues of our time.
The Festival operates out of the Everyman Theatre, the Triskel Christchurch, Wandesford Quay Gallery and the Gate Cinema from the 9th-18th of November.
Cork Pride Festival
Pride is a celebration; an expression of the diversity of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community. Cork City has a well-established LGBT community and since the Cork Pride Parade began, there have been many changes both in Cork and Irish society.
Cork Pride has always had an open and welcoming atmosphere with something to offer everyone, no matter what your gender identity or sexual orientation is. The theme of this year's 2018 parade is 'This Is Me'.
Cork Midsummer Festival
Established in 1997, Cork Midsummer Festival is one of Ireland's leading international multi-disciplinary arts festivals. It is an annual festival which transforms the city of Cork every June with a programme full of local, national and international events including theatre, dance, opera, music, visual arts and outdoor arts, as well as ambitious participatory projects and an extensive programme of free events. It brings the world to Cork – and shows Cork to the world.
