We are looking for a Facilities/Maintenance Operative to work as part of a small, friendly team. This is a great opportunity to work within the grounds of 4* star hotel. In this role you will be responsible for conducting regular site inspections to ensure that the hotel and grounds are maintained to high standards. You will carry out minor repairs such as fixing leaks, touching up paintwork, and other small maintenance tasks as well as:

• Responding to and resolving maintenance issues in a timely and professional manner
• Keeping accurate records of maintenance activities
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
• Participating in the planning and implementation of preventative maintenance e.g. cleaning equipment, grilles, filters, surface drains, gutters, etc

This position would suit someone who enjoys working outside as well as inside and who is willing to learn new skills. The successful candidate will have good attention to detail, be hardworking, punctual, reliable and be able to demonstrate previous experience in a similar role. You must be flexible in terms of hours and be willing to work weekends. Full training will be given.

What You’ll Need:

• Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
• Communication skills to exchange straightforward information and be comfortable liaising with contractors.
• Experience in facilities management or hotel maintenance is highly desirable.
• A proactive, self-motivated attitude with strong problem-solving abilities.
