We are currently seeking an experienced part time Bar Person to join our friendly and professional Food and Beverage Team. We are ideally looking for someone to work mid-week: Mondays - Thursdays.
Duties:
- Be accountable for correct standards of Mis-en-Place before, during and after service.
- Ensure the preparation of the department and the still room area are always in accordance with the hotel standards.
- Be responsible for handling keys and money, securely opening and closing down the department.
- Inform yourself and adhere with the relevant control, maintenance, equipment, par stocks and requisition and storage systems at all times.
- Preparation of both alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for bar and patrons
- Interacting with customers, taking orders and serving snacks and drinks
- Assessing bar customers’ needs and preferences and making recommendations
- Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations
Requirements:
- Previous bar experience in a similar business- ideally a 4* hotel
- Availability to work on weekends and be flexible with time
- A professional manner
- Excellent presentation
- Ability to work both as a team and alone
- Self-motivated
- Friendly and outgoing
- Fluent English
- Fantastic customer service skills
