Mabel Crawford’s Bistro is the culinary heart of Cork’s Vienna Woods Hotel, a space where history, sustainability, and exceptional flavour come together. Under the care of Head Chef Hugh Bailey, our à la carte menu is thoughtfully curated using locally sourced ingredients from nearby farmers and suppliers. Reflecting both our Green Policy and the richness of each season, our dishes range from fresh seafood and prime Irish steaks to vibrant salads and indulgent desserts.

An Intimate Dining Experience

The charm of Mabel Crawford’s Bistro lies not only in its flavours but in its distinct dining spaces, each with its own story to tell. Whether you're enjoying a romantic dinner, a special family meal, or a small group celebration, the bistro offers the perfect setting.

The Cellar

Bathed in natural light from our west-facing windows, this space features calming blue walls and the original wine storage display used by the Crawford family. Seats up to 16 guests.

The Gallery

A warm and inviting room with a relaxed ambiance. Enjoy soft indoor lighting, filtered natural light, and a collection of artworks gathered over the years. Accommodates up to 20 guests.

Our Semi-Private Areas

Discovered during renovations in 2009, this space once formed part of the house’s 150-year-old kitchen and pantry. Lovingly restored, it retains the charm and detail of its origins.

The Parlour - A quaint, semi-private space seating up to 8 guests.
The Vault - Once part of the pantry, now seating up to 10 guests.
The Snug – Located by the entrance, this cosy alcove with sofa-style seating is perfect for smaller groups of up to 6.

A Heritage Dining Experience

Throughout Mabel Crawford’s Bistro, original features have been beautifully preserved – from exposed brickwork and vintage tiles to the restored open fire and stove, once central to the estate’s working kitchen. The former cold room’s heavy door has been transformed with glass panelling and now stands proudly as our cellar entrance.

Whether you’re enjoying breakfast, lunch, or a candlelit dinner, every meal at Mabel Crawford’s is an experience rich in taste, comfort, and history.
