As September arrives and the first hints of autumn begin to appear in the woodlands around Cork’s Vienna Woods, our menus take on a new seasonal character.
Our chefs have created a new Autumn Afternoon Tea experience , bringing together comforting flavours, freshly prepared savouries and delicate sweet treats, all inspired by the changing season.
A Taste of Autumn
Afternoon tea is all about taking your time, and our new autumn menu is designed to be enjoyed at a leisurely pace.
On the savoury tier, guests can enjoy a selection of carefully prepared bites, including Bandon Vintage Cheddar with tomato relish on brown bread, a gourmet vegetarian sausage roll, Bluebell Falls goat's cheese with onion marmalade, and sliced roast mushroom on sourdough with horseradish mayo and cress.
The sweeter tiers bring a little more indulgence, with treats including chocolate raspberry tartlet, passionfruit macaron, vanilla blackberry panna cotta, chocolate chip banana bread and pistachio choushell.
And of course, no afternoon tea would be complete without a warm buttermilk scone.
Seasonal Ingredients, Local Suppliers
Wherever possible, our chefs use locally sourced and seasonal ingredients, working with a selection of Irish suppliers to bring quality ingredients to the table.
Our autumn menu features produce from McCarthy’s Family Butcher of Bishopstown, Hanleys of Mitchelstown, Cashel Farmhouse Cheesemakers, LeamLara Herbs, Keelings Fruit & Vegetables and Ballycotton Seafood.
It is this focus on good ingredients and thoughtful preparation that makes afternoon tea more than just a selection of sandwiches and cakes. It is an opportunity to enjoy the flavours of the season while supporting local producers.

Dusk Til Dawn is a smooth, coffee based cocktail with a hint of vanilla, bringing together rich coffee flavours and a touch of sweetness. It is a cosy choice for September, whether enjoyed after afternoon tea or as part of an evening in the Glassroom.
