The 6th of January is a special celebration for the women of Ireland. After the decorations have come down and Christmas is truly over it’s time for the hardworking adults to celebrate. Traditionally this event was for women to relax after all the preparations for Christmas but times has changed with now everyone enjoying this unique holiday.
To celebrate the feast of the Epiphany we in Ireland mark the 6th January as Women’s Little Christmas or Nollaig na mBan. This tradition is still very strong in Cork with people all over the county enjoying the day which is why we have organised a special night with Red Hurley.
