Fota www.fotawildlife.ie Fota Wildlife Park is one of Ireland’s most famous wildlife park. In this rural setting one can view rare and endangered species of wildlife in surroundings which have been developed as close as possible to there natural environments. There is a variety of animals that come from all over the world such as, giraffes, cheetahs, monkeys, elephants and many more. There is more than 70 acres of open countryside to explore where you will come face to face with animals wandering freely. Directions: Fota Wildlife park is easily accessible by train and car from all over Ireland as it located just 10 minutes from Cork City. Fota Wildlife Park is situated 10km east of Cork city, just off the N25. Take the Cobh exit (R22) follow the sign for Fota Wildlife Park and the entrance to the park is just before Belvelly Bridge. There is a direct rail service to Fota Wildlife park station. Cork to Fota only 15 minutes.
